Jairzinho Rozenstruik vs Ciryl Gane were expected to face off on the 13th of March, but the fight has now been rescheduled for February 27 – UFC Vegas 20. Jairzinho Rozenstruik took to his Twitter account, to confirm the news. ‘Bigi Boy’ also mentioned that it would be a 5 round contest, meaning that it would serve as the main event, thereby creating some confusion, as Dominick Reyes vs Jiri Prochazka is the actually announced main event for UFC Vegas 20, on the 27th of February.
“Ladies and gentlemen, my fight against Ciryl Gane got rescheduled for February 27! 5×5 minutes main card. Spread the word!”, Rozenstruik tweeted.
Both the fighters are coming off a victory over Junior dos Santos!
Jairzinho Rozenstruik is coming off a victory over Junior dos Santos at UFC 252. The 11-1 fighter, was on a high, after notching up 10 victories without a loss, which included victories over Alistair Overeem and Andrei Arlovski. He then, took on the dangerous Francis Ngannou at UFC 249, where he was knocked out just 20 seconds into the first round. Although, the defeat shattered ‘Bigi Boy’, he managed to pick himself up and beat Junior dos Santos.
Just like his opponent, Ciryl Gane too, is coming off a victory against Junior dos Santos at UFC 256, winning via TKO in the second round. He is still undefeated in his mixed martial arts career with 7 wins to his name. The Muay Thai artist who is currently ranked number 7 in the heavyweight rankings, will be looking forward to moving further up, come February 27.
