Jake Paul- Dana White

The non-sensical rivalry between a fighter and a fight business owner seems to never end and in today’s news, yet again, Youtuber-cum-boxer Jake Paul comes to take another dig at UFC President Dana White against whom he is going intense back and forth on Twitter for the past few days. As for now, Paul decided to attack the increment of UFC’s pay-per-view prices. The previous PPV price was $69.99 for each event which goes up to $74.99 now.

Paul started off his 2022 version of his beef with White by bringing to notice the UFC’s infamous, notorious reputation for underpaying the UFC fighters and neglecting their healthcare, which is quite a contentious issue that is debated quite rigorously amongst the fans and pros from both sides of the coin. Paul came to an offer for White where he claimed he would leave boxing forever to fight MMA in a UFC cage and that too against an elite fighter like Jorge Masvidal, only if White agrees to certain demands that would resolve the issues of fighters’ pay and their healthcare negligence.

In a recent Tweet, Paul, as mentioned before had to say something about the UFC‘s PPV ie. Pay-Per-View prices increasing and for obvious reasons, the feedback is not good. He said,Best year we ever had,” White. “Sponsorship is through the roof. Social media, our numbers on PPV, our numbers on television, arena records. This business is on fire.” Also Dana White: We are again raising PPV prices and saying FU to fans and fighters.

Basically, Paul targetted White’s supposed hypocrisy where the latter has accepted the UFC to be booming in fight business but at the same time, had to increase the PPV prices as if the business is instead going down.

What do you make of Paul’s take on the UFC’s decision to increase the PPV prices and White receiving the dig for it on behalf of being the face of the company? Although the Paul’s aforementioned offer made on the first day of 2022 to White has expired, do you see any other deal will be thrown out by Paul in future? Will White accept that deal unlike this one?
