Ever since Philadelphia Eagles star wide receiver AJ Brown released his engagement video on social media, fans have been wondering the same thing. Where was his on-field partner in crime Jalen Hurts?

Fans watched and rewatched the video several times, but Hurts was missing. He wasn’t the only one. 2024 Offensive Player of the Year, Saquon Barkley, wasn’t present either, nor was head coach Nick Sirianni.

Keyboard warriors began to suspect a rift forming between the players. Hurts has continued to remain mum about missing out on Brown’s special day. Meanwhile, sources close to the Super Bowl MVP hinted it was due to the scheduling of the athletes.

Neither Brown nor Hurts traveled with the Eagles contingent that visited POTUS Donald Trump at the White House last month.

So, where was Hurts amidst all the important events? According to ESPN, Hurts was on his honeymoon with wife Bry Burrows at a private getaway.

So, Jalen Hurts is married? Paps first speculated that the 26-year-old was no longer a bachelor when, during the Super Bowl LIX clash at Caesar’s Superdome in New Orleans. Cameras caught him wearing a band on his ring finger, indicating that he may, in fact, be a married man.

He had already hinted that he was engaged to Burrows after the Eagles’ week one victory over the Green Bay Packers in Brazil.

I mean, to this point in my life, that’s an irreplaceable feeling. I think that’s what allowed us to get to where we are now.

Paparazzi filmed Hurts and Burrows heading to the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York for the 2025 Met Gala on Monday.

It began to rain when the two hit the streets. Hurts helped Burrows leap through a puddle of water before entering their ride to the venue.

Everyone was mesmerized to see the similar couple donning attire in the Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.

Which other NFL athletes attended the Met Gala besides Jalen Hurts?

The Met Gala is a celebration of fashion. Every year, famous individuals from all over the world flock, wearing their best dresses. This year was no different.

Hurts and Burrows were only a part of a large gathering. Barkley missed Brown’s engagement but showed up at the gala wearing a slick all-black tux.

The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback, Joe Burrow, ignored all the chatter about his love life and graced us all wearing a bluish-gray suit with his iconic ice-blue glasses.

Burrow’s former LSU Tigers teammate and the star wide receiver of the Vikings, Justin Jefferson, didn’t miss out on the fun. On Sunday, he celebrated Oscar Piastri’s win at the Miami Grand Prix, and the next day, Jefferson attended the Met Gala in NYC.

Former Vikings, Bills, and Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs made an appearance after recently signing with the New England Patriots.

Newly signed New York Giants quarterback and former Super Bowl winner, Russell Wilson dropped by with superstar wife Ciara. Wilson killed it with his classic black suit with a cane, and Ciara wore a black dress draped with silver chains.

Olympic Gold medalist gymnast Simone Biles and her husband, Bears DB Jonathan Owens, were among the first to make an appearance in the night.

Hurts may be the current Super Bowl champion, but his appearance was overshadowed by an individual who seldom attends such lavish events. Former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick and his partner, Nessa Diab, surprised everyone on the internet with their appearance.

Other notable athletes to attend the Met Gala were former world number one tennis star Serena Williams, Ferrari driver and F1 legend Lewis Hamilton, and LSU basketball star Flau’jae Johnson were some of the big-name athletes present this year.

The paps didn’t catch Hurts and Barkley mingling at the gala. Let’s hope for the Eagles’ nation’s sake that there’s no tension between the two.
