As such, Jamahal Hill has recently thrown his support behind Magomed Ankalaev in a potential matchup against the current titleholder, Alex Pereira.

Hill believed Ankalaev’s unique style could pose significant problems for the Brazilian. Jamahal Hill has first-hand experience against Pereira’s formidable striking. In a candid interview, Hill explained that Pereira doesn’t fight well against Southpaws and also gave props to Ankalaev’s power.

Magomed's [Ankalaev] stance is a problem for [Alex] Pereira. Pereira doesn't fight well against southpaws...Magomed also can come with a very grapple heavy approach, as well he picks decent shots and he is capable on the feet. I'd probably favor Magomed in that fight.
