Jamahal Hill‘s last light heavyweight title shot became one of the worst cases of trash talk gone wrong. The former champion came back from a major injury to fight Alex Pereira but failed miserably. However, a week after his defeat, the fighter is looking forward to getting his revenge against the reigning champion.
In one of the recent fan interactions on Instagram, someone asked Jamahal Hill to start training and fight Alex Pereira again. While responding to the query, ‘Sweet Dreams’ mentioned that he’s already on it and has signed a new fight contract. The fighter also claimed that he would get a knockout finish the next time he met Pereira in the octagon again.

Going into the fight with Pereira, Hill was highly confident and claimed he was not scared of ‘Poatan’s power. The fighter was on a mission to let everybody know the difference between him and the Brazilian. However, all the trash talk didn’t help the American and he got knocked out in the very first round.
Hill did not perform well in the UFC 300 bout. But fortunately, this hasn’t affected the fighter’s motivation in the slightest. Hill seemed to train more intensely than normal and this time with a grudge. Fans may not be expecting much from the Hill given the previous outcome, but anything can happen in mixed martial arts.
Jamahal Hill vs. Khalil Rountree at UFC 303
UFC recently made a major announcement regarding UFC 303 and has added a crucial light heavyweight fight to the card. Jamahal Hill will fight the upcoming top contender, Khalil Rountree. The card headlines the much-awaited return of Conor McGregor who will face Michael Chandler in a welterweight bout.
Hill’s opponent, Rountree is the current #9 fighter in the light heavyweight division and is on the rise. After having an underwhelming start to his UFC career, the 34-year-old has turned the tide and has won the last five of his consecutive bouts.
The card is scheduled to take place June 29 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Given the return of McGregor, the card has already got a lot of attention from fight fans. It’s by default the best opportunity for Hill to bounce back and remind his fans and followers of his capabilities.
