Jamal Murray
The Denver Nuggets are back in form. After two tough nights against Boston Celtics and Washington Wizards, Denver Nuggets sealed their 16th win this season. Once again it is Jamal Murray to the rescue. He has been having elite season since last year. After an impactful performance in the bubble, their luck did not take them any deeper. They lost to Los Angeles Lakers in the conference finals. However, this season has been a lot challenging. Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray have constantly made their side a better one.
Nuggets beat their slump time getting over the Cleveland Cavaliers. They sealed the night with a 17-point victory. Jamal Murray exploded for 50-points in the game. It was a crazy night for the Canadian guard. He was dropping bombs in the match. With a glaring 21-25 shooting from field, the man seemed unstoppable. He exploited the defense mercilessly. He even had 8 triple to his name. But the most astonishing fact was he achieved the 50-point mark without a single free throw.
Jamal Murray becomes the first player to score 50points without any free throws
Jamal Murray became the first player in the NBA history to drop 50-points without shooting any free throw. Previously legends like Hakeem Olajuwon and Kareem Abdul Jabbar held this record with 48 points. This was a crazy night for the Canadian international. The defence got burnt with absolute insane skills and accurate shooting. Well not just a single record but Murray had multiple records today. He closed in on Wilt Chamberlain in shooting accuracy. Jamal had 84% shooting accuracy which is just next to Chamberlain’s 87%. This is a rare achievement.
Jamal Murray’s third 50-point game became the most by any player in Nuggets’ history. The team is all pumped up and ready. They have also gotten over the LA Lakers. This is huge advantage and an optimistic pull. All they need to do is stay consistent and pull off winning games. Their offensive super-power secedes their defense. It is a little troublesome but the team knows how to get settled. Hopefully the franchise will look to re-do some of the things from past season.
