Canadian basketball star Jamal Murray was one of the standout performers for the Denver Nuggets last season. However, he suffered disappointment when they were knocked out of the NBA playoffs by the Minnesota Timberwolves back in May. Nonetheless, Murray is now the subject of fresh criticism from some fans, after a radio show host recently called him out for his latest performances on the court.

Radio host Justin Termine opened up about the 27-year-old star guard. According to Termine who made his feelings known on SiriusXM radio, he has lost conviction that Murray will ever reach his full potential in the league. Furthermore, the radio host argued that given the number of top players in the league right now, it is unlikely that Murray will ever get close to being named an NBA All-Star anytime soon.

And then last year, his numbers go down, the post-season is even worse and with all the count in the league right now, I'm concerned that Murray may never make an All-Star team at this point.

Canada’s Men’s basketball team, which the Denver Nuggets player is a part of, handed out a defeat to Australia on Tuesday in the so-called ‘Group of Death’. The Canadian contingent wasted no time as they brushed aside the Aussies 93-83 at the Pierre Mauroy Stadium in Lille, France. However, despite the team getting a win, it appears Jamal Murray’s performance of late has not impressed everyone.

Jamal Murray jokes about teammate Dillon Brooks

Ahead of the 2024 Olympics just a week ago, Jamal Murray and some of his fellow Canadian teammates made jokes about which basketball player among them would get a technical foul while at the Games in Paris. During a Q&A interview where the question was popped, Canada star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander picked teammate Dillon Brooks. Brooks was the same person Murray then picked as well, as they all mocked Brooks’ tendency to act unsportsmanlike on the court.

Murray has his eyes set on the Olympics dream and publicly voiced out months ago, his ambitions to be a medal winner with Team Canada on the world stage in Paris. “Hopefully, we can win gold”, he said back in March of this year regarding the men’s basketball team. This is the first-ever Olympics for Jamal Murray, and following Canada’s win against Australia, it looks to be off to a great start for the NBA star and his country.
