World No. 1 Jannik Sinner‘s preparations for the 2025 season are well and truly underway. The Italian enjoyed one of the most dominant seasons in tennis history in 2024, winning two Grand Slam titles, the ATP Finals, and the Davis Cup.
He has now started training during the off-season as he plans to replicate his 2024 form in 2025. He was pictured at Patrick Mouratoglou’s academy in Dubai, hitting shots from the baseline.
Sinner’s season is likely to start at the Australian Open. The Italian hasn’t given any hints about his potential availability for warm-up events before the first Grand Slam of the season.

He will be aiming to join the likes of Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic in defending the Australian Open title this century. This year, he won his first Grand Slam title in Melbourne, defeating Daniil Medvedev in a five-set final.
Jannik Sinner’s 2024 dominance on hard courts explained in numbers
Jannik Sinner had a dominant season on the ATP Tour in 2024, excelling on hard courts. The Italian star won seven of his eight titles on this surface and posted an impressive 53-3 record. Two of his losses were to Carlos Alcaraz, who had the second-best win percentage on hard courts. Alexander Zverev followed Sinner with 40 hard-court wins, while Sinner topped the list with 53 victories.
Sinner was unstoppable on indoor hard courts, finishing the year with a perfect 13-0 record. He won titles in Rotterdam and at the prestigious Nitto ATP Finals in Turin. Karen Khachanov and Tommy Paul also shined indoors, with Khachanov securing the most wins (14) on indoor hard courts. These performances placed them among the top three players in this category.
Sinner achieved a big milestone on grass by winning his first title at the ATP 500 in Halle. He then won nine matches in a row on grass before losing to Daniil Medvedev in the Wimbledon quarter-finals. His nine grass-court wins were the most after Wimbledon champion Alcaraz (8) and Lorenzo Musetti, who led with 12 wins on the surface.
On clay, Matteo Berrettini was the standout performer with a remarkable 93.8% winning percentage, going 15-1. He claimed three titles in Marrakech, Gstaad, and Kitzbuhel. Sebastian Baez had the most clay-court wins (26), followed by Casper Ruud (24) and Zverev (23).
