Danish model Laila Hasanovic was spotted with Jannik Sinner‘s parents while the Italian ace was playing the Vienna Open. After Sinner’s win over Alexander Zverev in the final, he gave a heartfelt speech, thanking his team and family members, also mentioning his girlfriend.
Sinner confirmed the split with ex-girlfriend Anna Kalinskaya after making his return to the court following his three-month doping ban. Ahead of the French Open, Sinner was spotted with a mystery woman in Copenhagen, and tennis social media detectives at that time claimed it was actually Hasanovic. At the French Open, Hasanovic attended the final between him and Carlos Alcaraz.
Then at the US Open, where Sinner once again lost to Alcaraz, eagle-eyed fans spotted Hasanovic’s photo on Sinner’s lock screen. The 24-year-old player also confirmed to Italian media that he was “in love”. Sinner is a very private person and wants to keep personal stuff out of the public eye, but tennis fans anticipated that the four-time Grand Slam champion would eventually confirm he is dating Hasanovic.
To my team, I have to speak in English. Thank you so much for the support. The work you put in, the effort, also to understand me at times, is not easy. But thank you for putting in the effort…everyone here, with family, my girlfriend, friends. To my whole team and also those watching at home. Thank you so much for the support.

Jannik Sinner on his tough Vienna Open final against Alexander Zverev
Jannik Sinner started his run at the Vienna Open in an emphatic fashion, winning all his matches, excluding the final, in straight sets. But in the final against Alexander Zverev, he survived a scare as he dropped the first set.

Sinner raced to 3-0 in the second set before eventually wrapping it up in his favor. The deciding set was no different and could have ended in either player’s favor. At 6-5, 40/0 in the third set, Sinner served for the match and Sascha failed to return, losing with a 3-6, 6-3, 7-5 scoreline.
It feels amazing, it’s such a difficult match, it was a tough start for me, and Alexander was serving very well. I just tried to stick in there and play my best tennis when it mattered. I just tried to push, and it feels very special. It was very difficult, of course, but you know it’s important not to give up, see what the situation is, and I tried to make the right choices at the right time.

The Vienna title was also Sinner’s fourth one of the season after the Australian Open, Wimbledon, and China Open. So far this year, he has featured in eight finals, and the four defeats that he suffered were at the hands of Carlos Alcaraz at the Italian Open, French Open, Cincinnati Masters (Sinner gave the walkover), and the US Open.
The next destination is Paris. Sinner has never progressed beyond the third round in the last Masters 1000 of the season, and skipped the event last year. The World No.2 has now narrowed the rankings gap between him and World No.1 Alcaraz, as he is 840 points behind the six-time Grand Slam champion, and winning the Paris Masters will once again take him to the top spot.
