Sinner took it into his hands to explain the differences between the two top players on the tour.
The Italian ace claimed that he and Alcaraz are completely different players. While Sinner considers himself mentally stronger than his rival, the World No.1 admitted that the Spaniard has an edge over him in physical strength.
Sinner also did not show any hesitation in admitting that Alcaraz’s gameplay is superior to his at the moment. However, the two-time Grand Slam champion does not see it as a downside. Instead, Sinner feels it is good that he has room to improve.
The two players dominated the tour in the 2024 season, splitting the four Grand Slam titles equally between themselves. While Sinner won the two hard-court majors, Alcaraz took home his maiden Roland Garros title and second Wimbledon title.
