For the third time in their last four sets, the set between Sinner and Alcaraz went to a tiebreak. Sinner initially broke in the first set and had chances to go up 5-2. However, Alcaraz broke back and ensured that a tiebreak would decide the first set. The World No.2 won it 7-5.

Just like the first set, Sinner broke Alcaraz to go up 3-1 in the second set and had chances for a double break, with two break points in the fifth game. However, the Spaniard once again weathered the storm and broke back, frustrating the World No.1. Despite that, Sinner showed incredible mental toughness, breaking again in the eighth game to serve out the second set.

The third set was a close affair from the start, with neither player showing lapses on serve. For most of the set, it seemed like the match would head to a final-set tiebreak, just as it did in their Beijing final. However, as in the second set, Sinner secured a crucial break in the eighth game before serving out the match to love.
