As per reports, both Sinner and Hasanovic live in the La Condamine district in Monte Carlo. Sinner moved to The Principality in 2020.
Before this year, Sinner was a two-time semifinalist in Monte Carlo, reaching the stage in 2023 and 2024, while last year, his doping ban forced him to skip the tournament. The four-time Grand Slam champion has become only the second man in history to win titles in Indian Wells, Miami, and Monte Carlo in the same calendar year after Novak Djokovic in 2015.
Sinner is on a 22-match winning streak in the Masters 1000 events, with the streak starting at the 2025 Paris Masters. He has become just the fourth man after Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Roger Federer to win four consecutive Masters 1000 titles.
Carlos Alcaraz receives advice from Greg Rusedski after his defeat to Jannik Sinner
Carlos Alcaraz doesn’t look quite sharp at this moment, believes Greg Rusedski. The Spaniard kicked off his campaign for the 2026 season in an emphatic fashion, winning back-to-back titles at the Australian Open and the Qatar Open.

But he experienced a dip in form in Indian Wells, losing to Daniil Medvedev in the semifinals, before he suffered a shock third-round exit in Miami. After his latest defeat, Rusedski advised him to work on his backhand.
Carlos was struggling on the backhand wing, and if you have a side that’s slightly weak, Sinner’s gonna take advantage. He’s got to get that focus a little bit better, get the backhand firing a little bit more. And also, he just doesn’t seem quite as sharp at the moment that he has been at the beginning of year. There was such a focus because the split with Juan Carlos Ferrero, and he went on a tear.
Greg Rusedski said on his Off Court with Greg Rusedski
Although Alcaraz was dethroned, he still can reclaim his No.1 spot, as there’s only a difference of 110 ranking points between him and his arch-rival. But Alcaraz also has the task of defending his titles at the Italian Open and the French Open, where last year he beat Sinner in both finals.
I think 16 matches in a row, and then he’s had a little bit of dip since there and hasn’t been the same player. I was in Monte Carlo last week, and Sinner turned to practice on the Thursday before the event, but Carlos only arrived on that Saturday. You could say Jannik’s preparation was a little better than Alcaraz’s.
Greg Rusedski added
Alcaraz will next be playing the Barcelona Open, where he finished as the runner-up last year. He skipped the Madrid Open because of an injury. The No.1 ranking will also be on the line during the Madrid Open because neither Sinner nor Alcaraz has any points to defend in the Spanish capital.
