Jannik Sinner lifted the year-end No.1 trophy in front of a roaring crowd in Turin’s Inalpi Arena. ATP Chair Andrea Gaudenzi, former World No. 1 Boris Becker, and Head of Corporate Brand and Strategic Advisory at PIF Mohamed Alsayyad presented the trophy to the World No.1.
Sinner’s parents, Johann Sinner and Siglinde Sinner were also in the crowd and got emotional seeing their son lifting the award. The two-time Grand Slam champion paid tribute to those who have always helped him achieve his dream.

Sinner was crowned as No.1 for the first time in June this year and became the first Italian to reach the top of the rankings. He also became the 19th player to end the season with the year-end No.1 trophy.
Jannik Sinner says year-end No. 1 trophy is difficult to achieve
Jannik Sinner is the fourth active player to clinch the year-end No.1. Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, and Carlos Alcaraz are the other players on the list. Alcaraz finished the season as World No.1 in 2022 after his first Grand Slam title at the US Open.
As Nadal will retire this month at the Davis Cup and Djokovic will also follow suit, maybe after a few more years, the battle to finish the season as World No. 1 would probably be between Sinner and Alcaraz. Ending the year on top of the rankings means playing the best tennis for months, which Sinner has done this season, lifting seven titles, including the Australian Open and US Open.
Sinner is currently playing at the ATP Finals and is bidding to win the trophy for the first time, having reached his first final last year, which he lost to Djokovic. In his first group stage match, he defeated Alex de Minaur and is set to lock horns with Taylor Fritz next.
