With many teams resetting their coaching staffs, the Tennessee Titans are looking for someone who can coach Cam Ward and their players to success in the future.
All those dismissals will shrink the pool of available candidates, as some of the more lucrative jobs will probably garner more interest. The Titans’ job might not interest many, considering how poor they were last season.
In fact, being consistently poor affects morale, which in turn makes it difficult to gauge player potential. Any incoming head coach will know their job will be that much more challenging.
The next head coach will have to make improvements, while also figuring out which players to keep and develop, and which personnel to let go and look for better prospects. That challenge saw Brian Callahan lose his job before the season reached its halfway mark. Moreover, there are concerns over how the Titans organization has been managed.
Despite all that, ESPN’s lead NFL Insider, Adam Schefter, revealed on X that former Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett was scheduled for an interview for the Titans’ top job coming Friday.

The 59-year-old is currently an analyst for NBC and hopes his experience molding Dak Prescott into one of the better quarterbacks in the league will interest the Tennessee-based franchise. After all, they want first overall pick Cam Ward to develop fast enough so that he can lead the team back to the times when they were a regular playoff contender.
Football fans troll Titans for looking at Jason Garrett
Fans know that Cam Ward and the roster have plenty of problems that need to be resolved if they are to ever become a contender. However, when Jason Garrett‘s name popped up as a potential head coach candidate, fans were left in stitches.
They could not believe the organization was overlooking the fact that he underachieved in the 10 seasons he led the Dallas Cowboys. Had it been a coach with a proven track record, it would have made sense.
For them to even consider Garrett is further proof to football fans that the Titans organization is badly managed, as several reports have revealed. Check out examples of those reactions below:

It is no secret that the Tennessee Titans made a glaring mistake letting go of Mike Vrabel, who has just turned the New England Patriots into one of the league’s best teams.
Fans believe that if they are to return to becoming a playoff contender, they need someone with a fresh mindset, who is also hungry to succeed. Only then can Cam Ward and his teammates progress.
Former Titan star wants franchise to hire John Harbaugh
Jason Garrett might have a good interview, as he will pitch his time with the Cowboys as a stable base from which the Tennessee Titans can build. However, there is a new candidate on the block.

Dear Titans, John Harbaugh is the answer. With love, 7’s.

The former offensive tackle, who was one of the pillars of the franchise’s locker room, believes that the recently fired John Harbaugh is the best bet to lead his former team.

The former Baltimore Ravens’ head coach already has quite a few suitors after he was let go. But Taylor Lewan hopes his team throws every recruiting pitch at someone who has a much better resume than Garrett or any other coach.
