Super Bowl champion and former Philadelphia Eagles player Jason Kelce came in support of head coach Nick Sirianni amid the recent hot water. The head coach went all out amid the victory against the Cleveland Browns, garnering unwanted attention.
In the final minute of the Eagles’ 20-16 victory over the Browns, Sirianni strolled over to the stands, tapped his ear in a classic “I can’t hear you” gesture, and started yelling at the fans near the bench. The ambiguous scene was nevertheless pretty wild, especially considering the Eagles were playing at home. The scene has been making waves in social media ever since, with fans and critics weighing in on the scene.
On Monday Night Countdown, ahead of the Buffalo Bills-New York Jets game, Kelce weighed in on the situation. Although Kelce maintained that Sirianni could have handled it better, he vouched for Sirianni’s character and energy.
Nevertheless, recent developments have pointed out that online media might have read too much into the situation.

The fan who Sirianni supposedly yelled at took to Reddit to clear the air, explaining what really went down. According to them, they had advised Sirianni to “run the ball” during the game, to which the coach responded by reassuring them.
After the Eagles secured their 20-16 win, Sirianni circled back, excitedly telling the fan, “I told you we would run! I told you!” The fan admitted to paraphrasing Sirianni’s words. However, they mentioned that they didn’t find the exchange offensive or feel berated at all. In the meantime, Sirianni has also apologized.
Jason Kelce backs Brandon Graham’s post-match interviews about needing 2022 Nick Sirianni
Jason Kelce backed Brandon Graham, the longest-tenured Eagle player and their defensive captain. Kelce echoed Graham’s thoughts on the 2022 Nick Sirianni who took the Eagles to the Super Bowl. In the same year, Sirianni also won the “Maxwell Club NFL Coach of the Year” award for his excellent use of the Eagles’ talent.
Brandon Graham, in his post-game interview, mentioned that he spoke with Sirianni. He also expressed that results will silence the haters more than anything and Sirianni knows it too.
Sirianni’s under a lot of trouble since the Eagles ended their season on a bad note last year. They haven’t had much success this season either, starting 2-2, and a blowout loss in Week 4 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers didn’t help him much either.
Bringing his children to the post-game interviews worsened it. Nevertheless, Sirianni sure does have his roster, old and new, backing him up.
