Jason Kelce did not seem to be a fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers winning it all again and dropped some bold comments regarding baseball on the New Heights podcast.

Former Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce has found himself in hot water. The Super Bowl 52 champion recently took aim at the Los Angeles Dodgers’ 2025 World Series victory and claimed that “baseball sucks.”
This past Saturday, the Dodgers stunned the Toronto Blue Jays in extra innings of Game 7 to snatch the title from them. At a jam-packed Rogers Centre, the National League side mounted an epic comeback while their backs were against the wall.
The Blue Jays took a 3-0 lead in the 3rd inning against Shohei Ohtani through a massive 3-run home run from Bo Bichette. To avoid facing the in-form Vladimir Guerrero Jr., the Dodgers intentionally walked him and brought Bichette up to the plate. The American International slammed his first home run of the postseason and opened the scoring with a huge blast.
Going into the top of the 8th inning, the Dodgers trailed the hosts 4-2. Third baseman Max Muncy cut the deficit to 4-3 through a solo home run against Trey Yesavage. After Kike Hernandez went down swinging against Jeff Hoffman in the top of the 9th inning, the Blue Jays were 2 outs away from winning it all.
Miguel Rojas then turned out to be the unlikely hero for the Dodgers. A solo home run from the veteran against Hoffman tied the game at 4-4. Following some impressive defensive plays, the game headed into extra innings.
After a scoreless 10th inning, the Dodgers broke the tie in the 11th inning. A solo home run from Will Smith against Shane Bieber put them 5-4 up. The Blue Jays were unable to answer back in the bottom of the inning and ended up losing the game.
In a recent episode of the “New Heights” podcast, Jason Kelce discussed about the World Series alongside his brother, Travis Kelce. The 38-year-old was not impressed with either of the teams. He took shots at both of them, especially the Dodgers and expressed that they “bought” the World Series Championships.
You’re telling me I’m supposed to get excited about a Canadian baseball team and a team that just spends more money than everybody else? Who the f*** cares about either? Both of them spend more money than everybody else… That’s why baseball sucks. That’s why baseball sucks, you just buy World Series championships. It’s the dumbest thing in the world.

Following their triumph last year, the Dodgers strengthened the team and splashed the cash in the offseason. They acquired the likes of Blake Snell, Roki Sasaki, Kirby Yates, Tanner Scott and re-signed Teoscar Hernandez, Kike Hernandez and Clayton Kershaw. According to Spotrac, the Dodgers had a payroll of over $350 million, the highest in the MLB in the 2025 season.
Social media reacts to Jason Kelce’s fierce take on baseball after Dodgers’ back-to-back titles
Jason Kelce was unimpressed with the Los Angeles Dodgers’ repeating as champions. The 6-time First-team All-Pro dropped some bold words regarding the sport of baseball after the 2025 World Series.

MLB fans on social media would attack him for this take. Users on X slammed him and called him out. One user wrote, “Sounds like someone’s salty“, while taking a swipe at his connection with the Philadelphia Phillies.
Check out that and some other reactions from X below:
Sounds like someone's salty his guy sailed a throw 80 feet over the catcher when he could've just gotten the force at first

Such a bad take by Jason. No repeat winners in MLB for 25 years. Meanwhile Chiefs and Patriots have had a monopoly on the NFL for the same amount of time

Coming from a guy who played a sport where a team has been to 5 of the last 6 Super Bowls and won 3 of them lol pic.twitter.com/JNngL6YZBr

Did he play for free with the eagles?

The American international is a fan of Philadelphia sports teams, having spent his entire career with the Eagles. This year, the Phillies lost in the National League Division Series (NLDS) against the Dodgers after Game 4.
A huge throwing error from pitcher Orion Kerkering to home plate with bases loaded in the 11th inning and two outs saw the Dodgers walk off the Phillies and eliminate them. The Dodgers then swept the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Championship Series (NLCS).
Unlike Jason Kelce, Travis Kelce enjoyed the World Series
While Jason Kelce may not have liked the 2025 World Series, his brother, Travis Kelce, had an opposite reaction. The Kansas City Chiefs star seemingly enjoyed the Fall Classic showdown between the Blue Jays and the Dodgers.

While countering his brother’s opinion, Travis Kelce expressed that it was an “awesome” seven games of back-and-forth baseball between the two teams.
Just because the Phillies didn’t make it doesn’t mean the World Series wasn’t absolutely epic. That was an awesome seven games of f****** baseball, man. It was back and forth. Yeah, both teams had their shining moments.

The Dodgers will now turn their attention to a three-peat of the World Series in 2026. Only 4 times in MLB history has a team won the World Series title in three or more successive years. The LA-based side will be hoping to put their name in this exclusive club next year.
