Indian fast bowler, Jaydev Unadkat took to X and showed a user his ‘place’ after being terribly misquoted out of context. The incident unfurled when Unadkat was being misquoted by a X user regarding his lifestyle and privileges in UK which were being ascertained while playing in the County Championship.

In an interview, Unadkat talked about how he had to cook his own meals and do his own laundry that somehow infuriated the user and he took to X to express his discontent. The Indian quick had a completely different full statement. He said that while being granted a house and a car, all other work had to be done by the cricketers only which was inclusive of the household chores.

The user plucked out a particular quote from the entirety and wanted to emphasize on the one that suited his own narrative. However, Unadkat was curt in his response and ensured that all the details are being underlined.

Hey @Sports_Himanshu, while you may already know but chose to ignore, there is a difference between..“..you are ONLY given a car & a flat” (your statement) And “while playing in the UK, while you are given a flat & a car..” (my statement) And to the people who are educating me over your tweet or your try to get max ‘reach’, try reading the actual article for once, to get a perspective.

Jaydev Unadkat will be returning to England next month where he will be playing for Sussex County in the County Championship. He has proven himself to be of critical essence to the Indian cricket team in recent times, particularly in the longer format.

Unadkat has been a part of the Indian Test team off late where he has played in four matches while claiming three wickets at an economy rate of 2.92. Even though the shorter formats of the game haven’t exactly been kind towards him, yet, his dedication has seen him being a part of regular domestic cricket, showing his class and caliber. In first-class cricket, Unadkat boasts of 403 wickets while registering 179 scalps in List-A cricket.
