Jeff Hardy was one of the most popular professional wrestlers in the world. During his prime, he was at the pinnacle of sports entertainment after winning multiple World Championships. Recently, the Charismatic Enigma talked about a potential WWE Hall of Fame induction and revealed his condition to accept his induction into the class.
Speaking on the Busted Open Radio, the former WWE Champion revealed that he and WWE had a call where they were offering him an induction into the Hall of Fame. Hardy turned down that offer due to the fact that his brother Matt Hardy was in AEW at the time. Jeff disclosed that he only wants to get into the coveted class as the Hardy Boyz alongside his brother and not as a singles star.
I cried after that phone call. I was just thinking about all the really cool moments I’ve given to the pro-wrestling world. I’m so proud of it, but it didn’t feel right at all. So, I just wanted to wait. If I did do this, I’m definitely doing that with Matt.Jeff Hardy via Busted Open
The 46-year-old star added that he had tears running down his eyes after hanging up that call. He revealed that he got emotional after reminiscing about his incredible feats in WWE. Even though, after having all such accolades, he wants to be remembered as a Hall of Famer with his brother only.
The Hardy Boyz have been a generational tag team in professional wrestling. They have achieved remarkable success in tag team wrestling throughout these years. Currently, they have been working in TNA, where Jeff Hardy was sidelined by The System a few weeks ago. He has been working pretty well in the promotion, and recently, even a female star talked about wrestling him as a dream opponent.
Jeff Hardy has guilt regarding his last AEW run
Jeff Hardy has been an incredible talent. However, his addiction problems have been his lifelong enemies. He was suspended and eventually let go by WWE due to the same reason a few years ago. Following that, he made his way to AEW, where Tony Khan gave him a golden opportunity to redeem himself. The same fate followed him in AEW.
Speaking on the Busted Open, Hardy explained that he has deep regrets and guilt regarding his last run in AEW. He said they gave him a chance, but he not only let them down but also his brother due to his personal issues. He called his antics shameful and admitted that they broke the company’s trust.
Definitely to win the TNA Tag Team titles. Basically because I have so much guilt and shame within me still, just from AEW giving me an opportunity — and even Matt — to me breaking trust with my personal issues in real life. And so, I just want to make that up to Matt.Jeff Hardy via Busted Open
In addition to that, the Charismatic Enigma looked positive for his recent run in TNA. He said he is trying to make up for what he has been doing in his career. In fact, he wants to win the TNA Tag titles alongside his brother Matt Hardy in order to redeem himself.
