Jey Uso may currently be operating in a self-proclaimed league of his own, as he continues to let the world know exactly how highly he rates himself, regardless of the criticism and backlash he often faces online. While he remains heavily involved in the Bloodline storyline alongside Roman Reigns, he has also been crossing paths with The Vision on RAW alongside his brother, Jimmy Uso.
Even though he is not part of the main event title picture at the moment, Uso recently made it clear where he believes he stands in the wrestling industry today. Taking to his Instagram story, the former World Heavyweight Champion boldly declared himself the best entertainer in the world right now, and this is far from the first time he has made a statement that sparked debate among fans.
Jey Uso declares himself the ‘best world entertainment wrestler’ in the world
Making sure nobody misunderstood his message, Jey Uso referred to himself as the “best world entertainment wrestler in the world” on his latest Instagram story.

The former World Heavyweight Champion also fired back at critics on May 14 with another bold statement shared through social media.
He wrote, “I’m really the best in the game right now. At the highest level. Close to 2 decades…. But y’all know Abraham Lincoln freed slaves tho??”
Considering his current role in the ongoing Bloodline saga involving Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu, the comments came as a surprise to some fans. However, many supporters believe Uso has already proven his value across more than two decades in the wrestling business.
The statements also arrived after the wave of online criticism and backlash Uso received during his World Title reign in 2025, following his WrestleMania 41 victory over Gunther.
Jey Uso has faced a lot of criticism throughout 2025 after his Royal Rumble win
Since winning the 2025 Royal Rumble by last eliminating John Cena, fans quickly began turning on Jey Uso, with many seemingly disconnecting from the former Tag Team Champion. Throughout his road to WrestleMania, a large section of the audience showed little interest in his rivalry with Gunther.

Even after capturing his WrestleMania moment by defeating the Ring General, Uso soon found himself in a difficult position as fans continued to troll his title reign across social media. While the “Yeet” craze remained loud during live shows, many fans still questioned his place at the top of the company and heavily criticized his singles push throughout the year.
He was even voted the “Most Overrated Wrestler” in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s 2025 Year-End Awards. In response, he reacted sarcastically through another Instagram story, writing, “Ya’ll really love me”.
Despite critics refusing to view him as a true top star, the Samoan continues to generate massive crowd reactions and remains one of the company’s most popular performers thanks to his longevity and connection with audiences.
His latest comments also suggest that he may be done trying to stay quiet in the face of criticism and is now willing to answer detractors with a far more direct and hard-hitting attitude.
