Jiri Prochazka put on a stellar show at UFC 311 after he defeated Jamahal Hill via TKO. It was his first fight since a devastating loss against Alex Pereira last year at UFC 303. While many fans had doubts, the Czech fighter showed incredible striking to end the fight.
It was a competitive fight in the first two rounds as both fighters were successful in hitting each other. However, in the third round, the ‘Samurai’ used his unorthodox footwork to outsmart Hill. In a recent podcast episode, former UFC champion TJ Dillashaw talked about the finishing sequence in detail.
Prochazka is well known for his unique and weird training methods that range from being alone in the wild to collaborating with Shaolin monks. The European fighter is most effective in chaotic moments and that’s exactly what happened in the third round. While his UFC career has been inconsistent, the fighter is a fan favorite and the win at UFC 311 has revived his hype.

Hill, on the other hand, lost his opportunity to make his ultimate comeback and fight for the light heavyweight championship again. The American striker looked devastated after the loss and gained public sympathy after the video of him crying went viral. For Prochazka, beating Hill was way easier than going against Alex Pereira.
Jiri Prochazka compares Alex Pereira and Jamahal Hill as opponents
Ahead of the Jamahal Hill fight, Jiri Prochazka went on tour traveling across various countries to recover from the previous loss. It seems like it worked wonders for the Czech fighter as visible in his performance. Prochazka has already fought with Alex Pereira twice and has come up short on both occasions.
The Brazilian superstar has knocked out the former champion in both fights, showcasing his striking superiority. In their last clash, Prochazka even accused ‘Poatan’ of using shamanic magic, but that didn’t go well with the MMA community. In a recent interview, Prochazka shared the difference in energies he belts against Pereira and Hill.

It seems like Prochazka dominated Hill by exploiting the weakness he felt from the opponent. The same cannot be said against Alex Pereira. Now, he has called out the light heavyweight champion for a trilogy fight. UFC CEO Dana White, however, doesn’t want it to happen right away as Magomed Ankalaev gets the next title shot.
