The Pittsburgh Steelers won their previous game against the Baltimore Ravens without scoring an offensive touchdown. That led Dan Orlovsky to question if the team has what it takes on offense to contend for a Super Bowl. However, former defensive superstar JJ Watt had something to say about it.

Chris Boswell kicked six field goals to help the Steelers win that game against the Ravens. Four of those came after his offensive teammates could not crack the Ravens 10-yard line. In their only trip to the red zone, Russell Wilson threw a horrible interception.

Former quarterback and now ESPN analyst Dan Orlovsky was discussing the plays in that game with his panel on First Take. Going by what he saw from the Steelers offense, he said this as a summation of that analysis.

In the last twenty Super Bowls, that means 40 participants in the Super Bowl. There has been three teams that have had worst red zone offenses than the Steelers. What might not make them a legitimate Super Bowl contender is, you are not going to beat Lamar, Josh Allen or Patrick Mahomes kicking field goals.

Dan Orlovsky said

Hearing this clip, three-time Defensive Player of the Year JJ Watt decided to chime in with a few words on his X account.

Take the teams, names, etc out of it… “You’re not gonna beat Team A by kicking only field goals” is a WILD take to make 4 days after LITERALLY beating Team A with only field goals. That’s like the sports media equivalent of a QB running out the back of their own end zone.

Watt wrote this as in that very game, the Pittsburgh Steelers defeated Lamar Jackson with field goals. He was pointing out that Orlovsky was wrong in that analysis, considering it was already done four days earlier.

Antonio Brown throws his hat to complement Pittsburgh Steelers offense

The Pittsburgh Steelers did struggle to find their offensive rhythm against the Baltimore Ravens. Russell Wilson has been playing well, but he needs another red zone target to complement George Pickens. New arrival Mike Williams is a good candidate to help, but a former franchise red zone expert has voiced out.

Offer still out there to come back and play for the Steelers for free to finish the season.

Antonio Brown on X

This was from Antonio Brown, who made a career for himself becoming a threat across the field for the Steelers. He last played in the NFL in 2021 and exited the league in the most bizarre fashion. But his words suggest he still feels he can contribute to his former team.

Brown even suggested he will play for free, giving a caveat that could garner some attention. However, his past record of outbursts and ego-centric behavior might put any interested team off. Add to all that, he is 36 years old, not the age at which a wide receiver can substantially contribute.
