There’s a first for everything in Joe Burrow’s book. His heart was pumping with excitement when he landed in Paris a few days ago to model for Vogue.
It’s something completely out of the box for the Iowa boy, who stars for the Cincinnati Bengals in the NFL. Dressed in a backless black suit with satin lapels by Peter Do, the 27-year-old walked the ramps for the famous fashion mogul.
This definitely took the internet by surprise. Joey B. may have an astute dressing sense, but to model for Vogue is an entirely different ball game. Burrow agreed with that fact.
An interview with Vogue documented his entire itinerary in Paris from arriving at the City of Lights to being groomed for the show. Joe Burrow revealed that through this he wanted to accomplish something that he was not used to.
I wanted to get out of my comfort zone and grow as a person, [and] I think walking in the show is a great way to do that. I think the crossover between fashion and sport is going to continue to grow.Joe Burrow told Vogue’s Leah Faye Cooper
Fortunately for Burrow, he did not have to go through the ordeal all by himself. He had his former LUS teammate and the highest-paid non-quarterback in the NFL, Justin Jefferson. The Minnesota Vikings wide receiver accompanied Burrow, fulfilling one of his dreams of attending an Amiri show.
I wear Amiri a lot. It’s my style—relaxed and chill.Justin Jefferson chimed in
The pair had dining reservations at the prestigious Hermes atelier. They enjoyed a modern take on French cuisine.
Joe Burrow wants to represent Team USA in Flag Football at the Olympics 2028
After trying his hand in fashion, Burrow returned to football, or rather the cousin of the gridiron. Paris is also the host city for the 2024 Olympic games and the fever is slowly creeping into every sport lover.
Even Joe Burrow has plans to be part of the biggest sporting event in 2028. The reason behind this is his desire to represent the USA team in Flag Football. The Olympic selection committee announced that Flag Football will be one of the new sports added in 2028, bringing more interest.
In an interview with Stagwell, Burrow was asked about the growth of the football’s sister game.
I think it’s exciting [and] I think it’s going to be great for the game. Especially with the Olympics coming up having that there that would be exciting to play in that would be a lot of fun.Joe Burrow said
He is not the only one eagerly waiting for the 2028 Olympics, which will take place in the USA. Three-time Super Bowl winner Travis Kelce and his brother retired NFL center Jason Kelce, both want to be part of it but as coaches because they will be too old by then.
