This year, the Cincinnati Bengals may emerge as a dark-horse candidate in the run to the Super Bowl. The championship-caliber team failed to make the playoffs in the 2023-24 season after quarterback Joe Burrow‘s season ended abruptly due to a wrist injury. Tee Higgins, a key part of the Bengals offense was unavailable for the last four games of the season which made their woes worse.
Joe Burrow is back now. The quarterback for the Cincinnati Bengals took the field after a long time. He has officially been cleared by the medical team to take part in throwing practice as part of voluntary workouts. Burrow revealed he “feels great” since his surgery and while he is yet to be cleared for contact in practice, the team is making his return to the field a slow process.
A video emerged of Burrow throwing at practice. It ought to bring a smile to the faces of Bengals fans because he looked like himself after a long time. Burrow has greatness on his mind this season. He comes back with a renewed sense of hunger within him and a fire that has never burned brighter. The quarterback was seen wearing a fresh pair of Jordans as he continued to train hard to get his body back into the groove of playing football.
Joe Burrow and the Cincinnati Bengals will be hoping to return to the Super Bowl
This year, the storylines between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Kansas City Chiefs will be fascinating. The teams have quickly become rivals and every time they go against one another, fans are hooked to their screens in anticipation because both Patrick Mahomes and Joe Burrow are phenomenal talents. However, Burrow also happens to be the only man who can control Mahomes and bring him down.
Burrow has beaten Mahomes three straight times. The Chiefs did manage to beat the Bengals in the playoffs once when it mattered the most, but ever since that game, fans have been yearning to witness a repeat of Burrow and Mahomes go at it.
This year, the former Heisman Trophy winner will look to send a strong statement with his return following his wrist injury. The message is that the Bengals are back in business.
