Joe Rogan and Rampage Jackson had a history with each other that went on for years. This prevented the UFC veteran from appearing in Rogan’s popular podcast. However, Jackson recently did visit the Joe Rogan Podcast and both finally buried the hatchet.

Back in his prime days in the UFC, Rampage Jackson had a rift with Joe Rogan over the commentator’s remarks on his leg kicks. Rogan, being an MMA expert, pointed out that Jackson was not checking leg kicks. This prompted fight fans to annoy the fighter with the same comment. While talking about the incident, Joe Rogan said, “You got mad at me once.” In response, Jackson apologized to Rogan and explained the situation.

I gotta apologize to you about that. .. You didn’t hurt my feelings. It was nothing that you said. I’m gonna clear that up for you right now. It wasn’t nothing you said, it’s the f*cking fans. When you said that, they all came to me on my social media.

Jackson joined UFC back in 2007 and stayed there for six years until he left for Bellator. During his time, he fought some dangerous light heavyweights such as Dan Henderson, Wanderlei Silva, Jon Jones etc. His title win against the legendary Chuck Liddell was an incredible fight that many hardcore fans still remember. Regardless of Joe Rogan’s comments on Jackson’s leg kicks, it’s worth noting that the boxer has a kickboxing history.

According to Jackson, after joining the UFC from Pride, he stopped checking leg kicks. The fighter did not think the UFC fighters kicked hard enough, so he countered with punches while his opponents kicked him. However, this misunderstanding resulted in an unjustifiable rift between him and Rogan.

Rampage Jackson mocks Joe Rogan’s commentary bias towards Jiu-Jitsu experts in the UFC

Over the years, Joe Rogan has become the voice of UFC due to his incredible contribution to the world of MMA. He was one of the first color commentators who expertly analyzed the jiu-jitsu and ground game in the UFC. This opened up a whole new perspective for the viewers.

However, not everyone was a fan of it. While talking about Joe Rogan’s commentary, during an interview Rampage Jackson claimed that Rogan was biased towards Jiu-Jitsu specialists

Joe can be a little biased sometimes against you know, Jiu-Jitsu guys. He moved Jiu-Jitsu guys. Sometimes I watch the fight, I turn it down(volume) a little bit then I get a different sense of view of the fight.

During the height of their feud, Rampage Jackson was enraged with Rogan and even threatened to knock the commentator out in a fight. Jackson disliked Rogan’s fondness for Jiu-Jitsu expertise. However, after their recent podcast together, things are most likely settled between the two.
