Joe Rogan calls Derek Brunson a real veteran

The 185-pound division is one of the most exciting divisions on the UFC roaster. Derek Brunson fought Edmen Shahbazyan earlier, when the former was considered to a big time underdog going ahead in the fight. The 22 year old young star, Shahbazyan started off in blistering fashion knocking body blows at regular intervals.

But after 2 rounds, Brunson unleashed his attacking intent, making his opponent crumble in the octagon. That fight re-inserted him in the top charts of that division and could fight stars like Darren Till and Kelvin Gastelum.

Looking back on that fight, Joe Rogan called Derek a real veteran on his Instagram handle. He commented on Brunson’s growth in the sport and touched on his ability to shut down.

Brunson would be looking to get a chance to assert himself as one of the Title contenders, but this event marked the the sport’s return to home turf in Las Vegas after an extended visit to Abu Dhabi.

Shahbazyan is considered on of the most emerging young talents in all of UFC and to put a halt and that to in such fashion, surely grabbed some eye balls for Brunson.
