Khabib Nurmagomedov is often regarded as one of the greatest fighters in UFC history. Nurmagomedov went undefeated throughout his professional career and went out with a clean record and the lightweight title to his name. UFC color commentator Joe Rogan has been a fan of the Dagestani from the start. But he recently put a clause on Khabib’s undefeated status in a recent episode on The Joe Rogan Experience.
Joe Rogan recently did an episode of JRE MMA Show with John Rallo, Matt Serra, and Din Thomas. Nurmagomedov and his undefeated legacy in MMA came up during the discussion.
He looked like a superhero. What a legacy right? Undefeated. Only one fight was kinda close, the Gleisan Tibau fight. Go back and watch that one.Joe Rogan via JRE

Gleison Tibau was Khabib Nurmagomedov’s second fight in the UFC. They fought in 2012 at UFC 148. The fight went the full distance but Khabib made it through and secured a unanimous decision victory. However, former UFC fighter Din Thomas thinks Tibau might have won that fight. Rogan agreed saying that it was definitely arguable. He believed if they had given the decision in favor of Tibau, nobody would have protested.
Tibau won five of his next seven fights until he hit a rut in 2015. He faced Tony Ferguson at UFC 184 and lost two minutes into the first round to a rear naked choke. His next three fights in the UFC were a string of losses until he got out and hopped from promotion to promotion. His last fight was in January in TBMMA which he won by split decision.
Why 50 Cent offered Khabib Nurmagomedov $2 million?
Ever since Khabib Nurmagomedov shot to stardom, people have tried to bring him under their wing. One of them was the famous American rapper 50 Cent. The UFC has faced criticism for underpaying its fighters for a long time now. 50 Cent tried to play this card to possibly secure Nurmagomedov for Bellator MMA.

Back in October 2018, 50 Cent posted on X, where he wrote that the UFC was being unfair to ‘The Eagle’. He revealed that he was willing to pay Nurmagomedov a giant sum of $2 million in cash if the Dagestani champion took him up on the offer and move to Bellator MMA.
This was after the infamous Khabib Nurmagomedov vs. Conor McGregor UFC clash and the chaotic aftermath that ensued in the stadium. The Nevada State Athletic Commission had imposed heavy fines on both McGregor and Nurmagomedov on the grounds of misconduct. However, reportedly McGregor’s purse was released much earlier than that of Khabib’s.
