Joe Rogan has remained a part of UFC for more than two decades. He is often regarded as the voice of UFC, and has covered several hundred of pay-per-view fights as a commentator. However, nothing came closer to the effort he had to give while collaborating with EA Sports.
Like many other sports, EA has worked with UFC for their video game, which got launched in 2014. It was the first ever UFC game and was released on PlayStation and Xbox One. As expected for realism, they asked Rogan to do the voice over commentary and it turned out to be a mammoth task. In a recent podcast, Rogan shared his experience in detail.
Doing the voice over for that was one of the most brutal jobs I have ever had. It’s so long. It’s also a huge strain on your voice. It’s like you are pushing your voice.

Popular comedian Shane Gills, who was the guest in the podcast, was shocked to see how fast Rogan changes his voice to commentator mode. Rogan has the biggest podcast in the world and his career is built on him taking part in long conversations. However, his voice and speed modulation while calling fights is definitely different.

At the age of 57, Rogan continues to be one of the most loved individuals in the MMA community.

Throughout his long career in UFC, Joe Rogan has seen and interacted with hundreds of MMA fighters. The UFC has consistently attracted the world’s best fighters through elite competition, lucrative contracts, global exposure, and championship prestige. Its dominance in MMA, coupled with rigorous matchmaking and massive fan engagement, makes it the ultimate proving ground for top-tier talent.
