The 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season so far has been impressive so far, with 11 different winners from the first 17 races of the year. This season also witnessed the sports ventures into streaming with Amazon Prime broadcasting the last five races exclusively on their platform and earned more rating than expected. Reigning champion Joey Logano made a bold comment inspired by it.
The three times championship winning Team Penske Racing driver, Joey Logano, believes that the ratings and viewership data from the last five Prime broadcast has been pretty solid. One of the main reasons behind this increase is the fact that events have become much closer with the introduction of the Next-Gen Cup cars.
I think they’re racing it in all the way across their series and stuff like that. It’s just it’s close right like cars used to win by well this Mexico’s Mexico Go but that was the norm winning by 16 seconds 10 seconds 6 seconds that was like that was normal, right?

The stage racing has made the events impressive throughout with drivers fighting for playoff points throughout the event. Though many in the community calls these gimmicks, Joey Logano seems perceived these as changes that makes NASCAR the most exciting racing series in the world compared all other big motorsports events. A bold comments considering NASCAR isn’t the biggest series world wide or the championship with the most views internationally.
And now we’ve added things whether it’s a car whether it’s the stage racing whether it’s the playoffs. I think we’ve added ways to make NASCAR racing the most exciting motor sports in the world, hands-down. I’d put that up against anything.

Joey Logano secures pole in Ford dominant Atlanta qualifying
The NASCAR community is at Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend, for the 18th race of the season. Ford teams were expected to the be front runners easily and that was proven, when the top 8 drivers in the qualifying being Mustangs and them finishing with Logano and Josh Berry finishing tie on the time charts. The No:22 driver was then given pole based on his championship standing.

On the bright side, we controlled what we could today and super proud of Team Penske, Roush Yates and Ford to keep our teams up there. It shows you that it’s repeatable, what we do. We tied, which is hard to do, and I think the other six are all within a hundredth which is remarkable when you think of all the parts and pieces and how they can be assembled.
Joey Logano asserted.
Talking about his performance in the session earlier in the interview, he admitted that though ist is good to have a strong start, it won’t be game changer. In superspeedways there will always be a lot of crashes and caution, hence the drivers that start upfront cant last at the top till the end. But it does give them the chance avoid the early race chaos.
It definitely helps for the start. Being up front definitely helps you control the race…The thing is, I fee like there are a lot of what ifs that play out in this race, a lot of cautions in this race that timed out in a different way can jumble up the field. It’s hard to say you’re going to be leading every lap of the race. It’s hard to do.

The comments from the future Hall of Famer shows main event is going to be a big battle and the luck factor as always will be significant for the winner. It would be interesting to see how everything is going to playout in the coming years.
