When NASCAR gave the teams a take it or leave it 2025-2031 Charter deal ahead of the first playoff race, they were confident that the charter wars will be done for the good. But 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports took it another level after the refused to sign the deal, claiming they weren’t given an opportunity to counter the offer.
They went onto escalate the saga further by filing a federal anti-trust lawsuit against NASCAR. The whole racing community has split opinion on the legal drama. Two-time Cup champion Joey Logano talked about the saga ahead of the Talladega race and he asserted that the lawsuit would change this sport forever regardless of who losses the case.
His opinion was shared by his ex-teammate and 2012 Cup champion Brad Keselowski. He pointed out that regardless of the difference in opinion in the garage, everyone is part of the legal drama if they wanted it to or not. So like Logano and Keselowski, all are eagerly waiting to see the results of the lawsuit.
Team Penske and Joey Logano “didn’t even have fun” at Talladega
Joey Logano was one of the many drivers who was victim of circumstances and got their race ruined by wrecks. He was involved in a wreck at the end of the second stage and them again towards the end of the race, where he was one of the first victims of the 28-car wreck. Logano hated the experience and admitted that he didn’t have any fun on Sunday.
The comments from Joey Logano highlight that though the four wide racing looked good from the outside, for the racer it was just bad. He is now in the playoff elimination bubble and has to produce a magical performance at Roval to get into the R-8.
