The 2024 NASCAR Cup season ended with Joey Logano peaking at the right moment to win the championship and continuing Team Penske Racing’s title winning streak in the Next-Gen era. But there is a large group of people in the stock car racing community that are trying to discredit the No:22 Ford team’s win, blaming the play-off system.
Joey Logano seems really irritated with these efforts to overlook his five-race winning season, and how he won three of the last 10 races on the way to the championship. While recently talking about the system in the recent YouTube show of ex-racer Kenny Wallace, declared his love for the system. He highlighted how the intensity and pressure of the system, makes the chase entertaining.

He then went onto share his frustration about the tag of micky mouse champion given to him. Logano highlighted how he won three races in the playoffs and almost won twice in the regular season as well.
Joey Logano explain why he deserve to be the champion
The Cup champion pointed out that his championship season was solid with the multiple wins and joked if anyone has issues with that, they should get checked out. He also highlighted how the system not only benefit racers peaking at the right time, but also the racers that have great regular season.
The Team Penske champion seems to be disappointed about the dis-respect coming his way owing to his championship triumph and it is making him to pass some slaty comments. It would be interesting to see if the perception of the 2024 championship changes anytime soon.
