Following the end of the Attitude Era, McMahon shifted his focus to a more corporate role in the company. He became more of a backstage figure, which affected his on-screen role. Although, even after 2002, Vince brought back the Mr. McMahon character on several occasions, those appearances couldn’t be as impactful as the previous ones.
Moreover, the documentary sheds light on a lot of stories that contributed to the character of Mr. McMahon. Events such as Montreal Screwjob, and the rise of the ‘Attitude’ in WWE all elevated the persona of the latter. Besides, earlier this year Vince McMahon resigned from TKO, which marked the final retirement of the persona from WWE.
