Wrestling Legend Pitches for John Cena to Take the Blame for R-Truth’s WWE Release While Conspiring with The Rock
Bully Ray would prefer an evil John Cena going out on national television and admitting in front of everyone that he called for R-Truth's WWE firing.

In one of the most baffling WWE cuts of all time, the company recently informed R-Truth that it wouldn’t be renewing his contract once it expires soon. While the decision has deeply affected the wrestling fraternity, Bully Ray has found a silver lining in it. The ECW legend recently pitched something that could genuinely blow some life into the moribund trail of John Cena‘s bad guy arc.
Ray, speaking on Busted Open Radio, said that he would rather send Cena to cut a live promo and claim that he was the driving force behind Truth’s ouster from WWE. The former Dudley Boyz member added that The Cenation Leader could speak along the lines of calling The Rock, also a TKO Board member, and asking him to fire Ron Killings just because the latter was universally loved by the fans.
……I put John Cena on the TV with a microphone and he says, ‘I never liked Ron Killings. Ron Killings was released because of me’. I’m ruining it for you fans……I knew you loved this guy. I called The Rock and he released Ron Killings……..
Bully Ray said via Busted Open Radio
If Ray’s brainchild actually comes to fruition, it’d endow Cena with enough ammunition he sorely needs to back up his motto of ruining wrestling for everyone. The Undisputed WWE Champion might turn himself into the most despised man in WWE if he lets everyone know that he conspired with The Final Boss to wipe the 53-year-old veteran out of WWE.

The majority of the fans believe that Cena’s ongoing heel run is in dire need of an overhaul. His previous match was against Truth at Saturday Night’s Main Event, where the Hollywood mogul breezed past the former 24/7 Champion. Their rift widened during the Backlash press conference when Cena delivered an Attitude Adjustment on Truth in the press room, something that Bully Ray mentioned above.
What’s the actual reason behind R-Truth’s WWE release?
The news of R-Truth‘s WWE release, as he worded it in his post on X, has had ripple effects on his coworkers. Almost everyone has poured their hearts out for Ron Killings, who’s set to snap a 17-year streak with WWE. An update has emerged on why the company made this call and sacked not only Truth but also Carlito, whose contract renewal isn’t happening.

As per F4WOnline’s Daily Update, with WWE bringing in more talent from NXT to the main roster, someone will have to make way for them. Also, those in jeopardy include underutilized older wrestlers in the mid-card. Truth, 53, and Carlito, 46, were in that category. There was serious unrest within WWE over Killings’ release, with a talent even underscoring the ruthlessness of the current regime.
@RonKillings-This the life right here Uce!We do this so our kids don’t have to see that other life we come from dawwg!!

God 1st,Family,Laughter,Game,Love & Knowledge always when it came to you!Love & Respect Big Bruh & THANK YOU 🙏 💯#RamInTheBush #TheTruth
Some in the company were hopeful of WWE retaining Truth in a global ambassador role. However, as of now, there’s nothing on that front. Jacob Fatu, who was involved in Truth’s final WWE show last Friday on SmackDown, has extended his well wishes for The Suntan Superman. Fatu penned an emotional note for the vet on X.
Mark Henry comments on R-Truth’s shocking WWE exit
In the aforementioned edition of Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray and Dave LaGreca were also joined by Mark Henry. The latter pitched some ideas on how WWE should’ve paid tribute to R-Truth during this week’s Raw in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

The World’s Strongest Man called for every match on the show to have something as an ode to the WWE-departed veteran. Moreover, Henry thought that the company could’ve interviewed certain legends on the show, highlighting how the place would never be the same without Truth’s presence.

Henry said that if WWE had asked him to record a video for Truth in some capacity, he would’ve done it in a heartbeat. The former AEW talent scout noted that even though he had some family business to deal with, doing something for Ron Killings would’ve been his priority.
