“If That Knocks Me out,” John Cena Admits That He Loves Wrestling More Than Acting in Hollywood
The 17-time WWE Champion John Cena has set the record straight on what form of entertainment he prefers more between wrestling and acting.

In a candid revelation during a fan expo in Dallas, John Cena reaffirmed his penchant for pro wrestling. Ever since transitioning into a full-time Hollywood actor, the 48-year-old has faced the music from wrestling diehards for ditching the squared circle. However, does he actually prefer starring on the big screen over the form of entertainment that actually put him on the map? The answer is no.
Cena, while answering a question at the aforementioned fan expo, humbly stated that he loves wrestling more than acting, which isn’t a knock on the movie-making business at all, he clarified. The reigning WWE Undisputed Champion said that he puts all his energy into every opportunity that he gets, which is why he isn’t worried about losing any of his movie gigs.
………..I love wrestling so much more and I’m fine saying that. If that knocks me out of the movie business, I’ll be accountable for saying that.

‘The Babe Ruth of WWE,’ however, did mention that if his statements ran him out of the movie business, he’d hold no one accountable for it but himself. This perfectly aligns with Cena’s crystal-clear frame of mind, as he’s someone who doesn’t mince words regardless of their potential ramifications. Take, for instance, his standing on former WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon.

"To be quite honest, and this is not a knock, I don't think this is going to lose me any movie jobs because I do give my all to every opportunity I have. Just like we're here today, I'm trying to… pic.twitter.com/JpSzUrul8W
Cena has said on record that he still loves McMahon the same way as it was before, irrespective of the legal quagmire that the WWE founder has fallen into. It was relayed to him that his opinion of the 79-year-old business tycoon has the fans up in arms. Cena responded by saying that everyone is entitled to their thoughts, just like he’s entitled to have an emotional attachment to somebody.
John Cena says his run as a heel has been full of pivots
The world of pro wrestling is halfway through the retirement tour of John Cena. While it began on the Netflix premiere of Raw, what catapulted this run into a whole new stratosphere was when the Peacemaker star turned heel for the first time since 2003.

It was orchestrated by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson at Elimination Chamber. But the Black Adam actor left the storyline high and dry and didn’t return to follow up on it once. Cena recently spoke to Collider while promoting his upcoming action movie, Heads of State. During the interview, the Massachusetts-born star disclosed that his ongoing villainous arc has undergone a ton of pivots, which is quite obvious given Rock’s abrupt exit from the fray.
Cena said that WWE is the most adaptable form of storytelling, where one could change things on the fly as per the need of the hour. The 17-time world champion also added that the remaining portion of his farewell tour will be dictated by how the fans react to him in the arenas.
Cena mentioned that the negative energy from the audience over his heel turn is fading away as he’s heading towards the tail end of his WWE career. The crowds are getting behind him no matter if he’s masquerading as a bad guy for the cameras. Who knows if that’s how Cena goes back into being a babyface yet again?
Joha Cena braces himself up for CM Punk in Riyadh
This Saturday, John Cena will lock horns against one of his greatest WWE rivals, CM Punk. Their showdown for the Undisputed WWE Championship will be staged in Saudi Arabia at Night of Champions. Last week on SmackDown, ‘The Cenation Leader’ gave his nemesis a taste of his own medicine by dropping his version of the pipebomb on Punk.

He had put ‘The Second City Saint’ through a table and nestled on the top turnbuckle to start bombarding a plethora of verbal blows. It was completely reminiscent of how Punk bashed Cena and the entire WWE back in 2011, which Cena claimed were ‘The Best in the World’s greatest seven minutes of his career.
Neither of them was present on Raw. However, a response from Punk is more than expected on SmackDown, which will emanate from Riyadh this Friday. They haven’t wrestled each other one-on-one in over a decade. But last time they met inside the Elimination Chamber this year was a huge reminder of how good their chemistry could still be.
