“Ripping your heart out,” John Cena threatens to retire with the WWE Championship after making history at WrestleMania 41
The long-regarded Babe Ruth of WWE is planning on retiring with the WWE Championship after WrestleMania 41.

For the second straight week on Raw, John Cena kicked off the proceedings with an unchanged look and entrance music. After dumping on the WWE Universe last Monday in Brussels, the wrestler-turned-actor doubled down on it in Glasgow. Deep into his promo, The Franchise Player proclaimed that he’s going to ruin wrestling for everyone.
Cena’s prime motive includes winning the WWE title for the seventeenth time at WrestleMania 41. But here’s the kicker. The Cenation Leader asserted that after he does etch his name in history books, he’s going to retire with the WWE Championship. That would leave the fans with a major void.
Not only will that make the fans beg for the creation of a brand-new title, which John named a toy belt, but also they’ll be forced to embrace him as the last real champion in WWE history. The 47-year-old quipped that’s how he’s going to repay the fans by ripping their hearts out. Cena said no one would be able to do anything about it.
John Cena’s plan? To ruin wrestling for everyone, win the 17th title, make everyone forget Ric Flair and make everyone say the name John Cena. Then retire with the Championship so a new toy belt can be created as he takes the real one home.#WWERAW

I pay you back by ripping your heart out and forcing you to watch as I just walk away with your memories, with your traditions and you dreams……………….

Early in his unsparing rant, the Peacemaker actor gave the fans a reality check. He noted how he shredded a kid dressed like him into pieces last week. The Boston native trashed those who turned that young lad into a meme by reposting his reactions on social media.
John also broached the criticism he received from the fans when he first introduced the spinner belt version of the WWE title. The Hollywood mogul admitted that he turned the most coveted prize in sports entertainment into a toy, which the audience loathed. But now that he knows what aches the fans the most, Cena’s going to stick to his guns.
Cody Rhodes dared John Cena to walk away with the WWE title
In a repeat of last week, Cody Rhodes had to cut his WrestleMania opponent off. After soaking in the desired reaction from the Scots in attendance, The American Nightmare sought clarification of John Cena’s comments. The champ asked his challenger why he didn’t even consider that for him to retire with the gold, Cena will have to make it through Cody first.

The former AEW EVP listed everything that he’s done just to hold that WWE title. Who could ever forget the epic closure to WrestleMania XL that fetched Rhodes his destiny. On Raw, Cody placed the belt between himself and Mr. Hustle, Loyalty & Respect, asking the latter to try taking it away on his watch.
The 16-time world champion feigned making the move but retreated eventually. Cena came halfway back to the ring after almost exiting, but that wasn’t it. The Ricky Stanicky actor finally walked away, similar to what he did to end his previous interaction with The Prodigal Son.
The Rock remains unacknowledged by John Cena and Cody Rhodes
The WWE Universe has now witnessed a couple of faceoffs between Cody Rhodes and John Cena. There hasn’t been an actual war of words between the two, leaving the fans highly underwhelmed. What’s even more baffling is the conspicuous omission of The Rock.

After all, he’s the one who orchestrated the turn at Elimination Chamber. However, since the PLE, he’s nowhere to be found. Cena sold out to The Final Boss but he’s yet to acknowledge it. The obvious snub is both interesting and befuddling at the same time.

A few days ago, it was reported by WrestleVotes that WWE had some names in the pipeline to accentuate the Rock/Cena alliance. The Great One’s business associate, Brian Gewirtz, later debunked that the pairing was under consideration to be known as ‘The Rock and Soul Connection’.
