Jon Jones added another major controversy to his list, but the allegations are quite personal this time. Jones is arguably the greatest MMA fighter of all time and has the best resume compared to any other fighter. However, his life outside the octagon has not been that smooth, and this time, it only got worse.
Recently, comedian Def Noodles shared his part of the story of Jon Jones showing up drunk and heckling him. Dennis Feitosa (Noodles), the owner of the club, talked about Jones inappropriately touching a bi-comedian while sitting with his partner.
Jon had his arm around his girl…but he was reaching over to a comic who was sitting next to his girl and he was touching him in ways that were not appropriate. I was surprised because the comic is bi.Def Noodles via YouTube
The event took place in Los Angeles at the Def Noodles Comedy Club. Jones in the crowd began continuously heckling Feitosa as soon as he took the stage. He was drunk and disrupted the entire performance. But Feitosa kept things lighthearted by handling the matter calmly and cracking jokes.
Jones is currently recovering from the torn pectoral injury he suffered last October before his fight with Stipe Miocic. The allegations against Jones will likely not affect his upcoming UFC return. He will defend his heavyweight title against Miocic when he returns.
Jon Jones claims he won’t touch alcohol ever
Jon Jones has a massive fan base due to his incredible fighting talent inside the octagon. However, with the frequent controversies, it gets harder for the fans to defend the heavyweight champion in all cases. Before his UFC 295 fight, Jones was captured drinking in Las Vegas, which raised a few questions.
‘Bones’ addressed the incident, made some serious promises, and claimed that he would leave alcohol once and for all. Here’s what the fighter wrote on his Instagram story:
I have way too much trauma to consume alcohol. My brain simply can't handle it anymore. I will leave alcohol in my past foreverJon Jones via Instgram story
However, it seems like Jones’ arch-rival Daniel Cormier was always right, as the fighter doesn’t stick to his words. Even after several serious vows, the fighter still broke them and showed up at the comedy club drunk.
