Love will earn a base salary of $10,500,000 and a workout bonus of $500,000 while carrying a cap hit of $12,757,731. While these were the projected numbers based on the trend of the current quarterback market, netizens shared a different view. Some of them refused to accept Love deserves more than $50 million a year after just one full season as a starter.

Regardless of how the fans feel about the zeros in the contract, the Packers’ front office has complete faith in Jordan Love.

The nice thing about having a guy in your building for the last four years is you [absolutely] know who he is. There['s] no guarantee about anything going forward. But we know how he's going to respond [and] how he's going to react and how he's going to work, instead of signing a player that has not been in your building and guaranteeing all that to him.
the Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst said per ESPN

Love’s holdout should end after the announcement. The 2020 first-round pick attended the Packers training camp but did not practice with the team. With the massive extension, he now has a chip on his shoulder to either match or do better than the previous season. ESPN’s Ryan Clark claimed Love has the skills and the weapons around him to play in the Super Bowl.
