Jorge Masvidal believes Justin Gaethje would be an easy matchup to make his UFC comeback against. Masvidal who previously held the BMF title said that he wants Gaethje to heal from UFC 300’s brutal knockout. But if their paths ever cross he would like to have a go at the former BMF champion.
Jorge Masvidal recently sat down for an interview with Ariel Helwani on The MMA Hour. There he talked about Gaethje’s recent knockout loss against Max Holloway and a potential matchup with Gaethje in the future.
That guy’s like f**king homer Simpson, CTE’d down. I don’t wanna talk too much sh*t about him cuz he just got f**king flatlined. So, I’m hoping our paths cross in the UFC cuz this would be a very good comeback fight for me. Easy fight for me.Jorge Masvidal via The MMA Hour
Masvidal criticized his style against Holloway, saying he was simply walking forward eating shots, with no head movement. Thus, he would love to have a go at Gaethje too. Justin Gaethje’s fight against Holloway was a tough one, and in the end, ‘The Human Highlight’ got knocked out cold.
‘Gamebred’ concluded saying he was not bothered by anything that Gaethje had to say. But if their paths did cross he is confident he would beat Gaethje. The lightweight prospect had dissed Masvidal in the lead-up to UFC 300 saying he was fat and that nothing was more special than seeing Kamaru Usman knock Masvidal down.
Jorge Masvidal wants Conor McGregor tested before UFC comeback
Masvidal is about to fight Nate Diaz in a highly anticipated rematch, but this time in the boxing ring. After their recent press conference, Masvidal addressed the viral news of Conor McGregor’s UFC comeback and he had some interesting things to say.
After the press conference, Masvidal did an interview with Fight Hub TV. Talking about McGregor’s comeback he said:
Test that motherf**ker. We’re all here getting tested, USADA had been knocking at my door for years. All I want to see is people getting properly drug-tested, ’cause if I’m getting drug-tested, all mothe****ers should be getting drug-tested.
‘The Notorious’ had a standoff with USADA ( the UFC’s former drug testing agency) which affected his much-anticipated return for a long time. Dana White recently declared the Irish superstar’s comeback against Michael Chandler at UFC 303. Now, people are excited to see how McGregor fares after such a long time of inactivity.
