In 2017, Jorge Masvidal and Stephen Thompson faced each other, with Thompson winning via unanimous decision. Since then, both fighters have had their share of ups and downs. Masvidal took a break from the UFC, while Thompson continues to compete. Thompson’s last fight was a loss against Shavkat Rakhmonov in December 2023, and he has not fought in the octagon since.
Meanwhile, Masvidal actively pursued a professional boxing career, like many other former UFC stars. Jorge Masvidal is all set to make his professional boxing debut against his former MMA competitor Nate Diaz.
Jorge Masvidal set to go against Nate Diaz
Five years after their first meeting in the octagon, Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz are set to face each other again, but this time inside a boxing ring. After his defeat against Jake Paul, Nate Diaz is still without a win in his professional boxing career. Meanwhile, Jorge Masvidal is poised to make an impact in his debut match. The stakes are high, and predicting the victor will be tough. Regardless, the fight is guaranteed to be an exciting event.
