Jorge Masvidal believes Bo Nickal could outwrestle Khamat Chimaev in a potential fight. Khamzat Chimaev is known for his wrestling more than his striking skills. However, Bo Nickal is also one of the best wrestlers in America as a NCAA champion.

Ariel Helwani asked Jorge Masvidal if he thought Bo Nickal could beat Chimaev right now. Masvidal had some interesting things to say about Nickal’s capabilities.

If Khamzat gets into wrestling with Bo, Khamzat f****** loses it... It is just a thing where I know that f****** gasses hard man, and Bo's not gonna gas... Could he be caught with a shot right now because he's still early in his career? Yeah that could happen. But other than that he'll break f****** whatever his f****** name is.

So according to Masvidal if Nickal stays out of knockout range, he will beat Chimaev no matter what. Masvidal said Chimaev’s wrestling is good against fighters who are predominantly strikers or who do not know how to wrestle. Masvidal also called Nickal “one of the best wrestlers” to come out of America in a long time.

Jorge Masvidal brought up Chimaev’s previous fight against Kamaru Usman. Masvidal said Usman was nowhere near prepared for the fight as he should have been. Yet, he dominated Chimaev towards the later part of their fight. So Masvidal believes Chimaev gets exhausted pretty quickly which would not stand well against Nickal who was a three-time NCAA Division I national champion.

Jorge Masvidal believes Justin Gaethje would be an ‘easy’ UFC return

Jorge Masvidal addressed a fight against Justin Gaethje after his recent bout at UFC 300. Talking on The MMA Hour, Masvidal said he hopes their paths cross in the UFC because it would be “a very good comeback fight” for him.

Gaethje had previously rejected a potential fight against Masvidal. He recently called him out to fight anywhere, even on the streets. Talking about fighting Gaethje after he got knocked out, Masvidal said:

“It’d be an easy fight for me, he literally walks forward eating shots with no head movement no nothing. He’s definitely a guy I’d love to f *** stick my fist to, nothing personal, he seems like he’s a little personal that I’m making picks and stuff.

Justin Gaethje faced Max Holloway for a BMF title defense at UFC 300 which is when he got knocked out cold by Holloway. Masvidal wants Gaethje to heal but if he does decide to make a comeback and their paths cross in the UFC octagon, Masvidal, in his words, would “light that motherf***** up.”
