Joseph Parker has called out Anthony Joshua for a rematch with another eye-catching social media challenge. The former WBO interim heavyweight champion has recently bounced back in terms of his career. This happened after his stellar victories over Deontay Wilder and Zhilei Zhang. Hence, Parker is now attempting to further redeem his honor by defeating his former opponents, who have won against him inside the ring.
Earlier this month, Parker went viral for his attempt to persuade Dillian Whyte to take a rematch. He creatively did this by parodying the song ‘Back For Good’ by ‘Take That’. Subsequently, Parker has now attempted to persuade another one of his former opponents with a similar approach. This time he used the song ‘Lego House’ by ‘Ed Sheeran’ to get ‘AJ’ to fight him again. He uploaded the video, stating:

Like in the previous video, Joseph Parker can be seen lip-syncing the song with all his heart while painting a picture of Joshua, which is revealed at the end. Furthermore, the video also shows clips of their first fight in 2018, which was held at the Principality Stadium, Westgate St., Cardiff.
The New Zealander also used cut-outs of Joshua’s face on soft toys. He then briefly performed a hilarious dance scene from the movie Napoleon Dynamite. In addition, Parker again used a cut-out of Joshua’s face and his own face on two Legos inside a ring to further personify the song’s lyrics and his callout.
A look back at the Anthony Joshua vs. Joseph Parker fight
With the prospect of their rematch now arising, Anthony Joshua and Parker will be potentially fighting after almost six years. Both fighters have come a long way in terms of their boxing careers. Back when they fought, Joshua was still an undefeated heavyweight champion.
At the time, AJ held the IBF, WBA, and IBO heavyweight titles, while Parker held the WBO heavyweight title. During this time, Deontay Wilder was the WBC heavyweight champion since he had not fought Tyson Fury yet. The fight between Joshua and Parker lasted for 12 rounds and ended with AJ winning via unanimous decision.
In the fight, both fighters showed their skills, boxing IQ, and power against each other. It is also impressive that Parker was able to last until the final round. This is because Joshua was quite the knockout artist during this phase of his career.
