Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld made it official. The Buffalo Bills quarterback and the Hollywood actor are now engaged.
Bills can clinch a playoff spot by beating the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night, but they received an early Thanksgiving present on Friday. Steinfeld shared a photo on Instagram catching everyone off guard.
Amidst the magnificently decorated alter with flowers and seas as their backdrop, Allen kneeled down in leg while Steinfeld slightly hunched toward him for a kiss. Both opted for casual attire.
The Marvel Cinematic Universe star captioned the post, potentially revealing the date of their engagement. It read ‘11/22/2024′ with the symbol of infinity on either side —Judging by the numbers, the photo is at least a week old.
However, it’s unclear where the picture was taken. An educated guess would be nowhere near Buffalo because the clothes don’t fit the snowy atmosphere of the meadowlands.
The Bills served their bye week after beating the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 11. So, in between, the couple must have enjoyed their alone time somewhere warm by the sea.
A brief history of Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen’s romance before announcing their engagement
Unlike the star pair of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce, who are the eye candy of the paparazzi due to their frequent public appearances, Steinfeld and Allen prefer to keep their relationship as private as possible. Fans are unsure when the two first fell for each other, but most count March 2023 as the starting point.
Shortly after breaking up with his ex, Brittany Williams, Allen was seen with Steinfeld on the streets of New York, entering a restaurant with a few close friends. Two months later, the papz spotted them at Sushi By Bou in Chelsea. Michael Sinensky, the restaurant’s founder, posted a photo on social media as proof.
A month before the regular season kicked off in September 2023, Allen was a guest on Barstool Sports’ Pardon My Take podcast, where he discussed his romance with the Spiderman Into the Multiverse star. People gossiping about his love life was foreign to him even though he’s the QB of the Bills and earns over $40 million a year.
They spent Halloween, Thanksgiving, and New Year’s together, followed by a long pause. In June 2024, the Pro Bowler attended former Bills quarterback Kyle Allen’s wedding. Steinfeld tagged along with her beau and got acquainted with the extended Bills family.
The True Grit stalwart also spent time with Allen’s mother in New York before posting pictures in July from Paris in front of the Eiffel Tower.
She has only attended a Bills game once back in December 2023 when Allen’s team defeated the Los Angeles Chargers. Now that they are engaged, perhaps papz will get more opportunities of her dropping by more frequently in Buffalo.
