Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love’s triumph last season was undeniable as he led the team to a playoff victory in his debut season and ranked second in the touchdown stats with 32 in the league. But when asked Josh Jacobs about it, he praised the quarterback to an even higher level by predicting a bright future for him.

The veteran running back signed with the Packers this offseason and within his short time here, he has already observed some qualities in Love that aren’t seen in quarterbacks easily, but when it does, it makes them special. In a conversation with NFL Network on Tuesday, Jacobs talked about these qualities and predicted Love is going to be the next superstar in the NFL.

To me, just from what I’ve seen, he has all the traits and all the tools to be a superstar in this league. I think that as he keeps continuing to play and gets experience and becomes more confident in his abilities and what he can do, he’s going to be the next superstar in this league, for sure.

The Packers never miss the mark in picking the perfect franchise quarterback– whether be it Brett Favre, Aaron Rodgers, or Love. Each of them had the privilege to learn from their predecessor before getting launched on the field. In Love’s case, he sat as the backup to Rodgers for three seasons before making his debut last season which was a huge success

Josh Jacobs eager to bounce back following the 2023 downfall

While talking to NFL Network, running back Jacobs also discussed his progress coming off a down season of catching just 37 passes. For the upcoming season, Jacobs appeared confident and ready to be potentially a huge offensive threat in 2024.

He revealed that the Packer’s head coach Matt LaFleur has been making him run “real routes” in practice. He also appreciated having a quarterback such as Love so the defense can’t simply stack the box against the offense on each play.

For now, Jacobs is aiming to prove that he is capable of catching the ball more and contributing more to the offense so that the team and coaches can rely upon him to pick the protections.
