For the longest time, fans and gossip columns have remained curious about Justin Herbert’s love life. It’s uncommon for a 27-year-old multimillionaire NFL quarterback to stay single in the current era. However, there was barely any information about his partner.

Herbert has done a great job of keeping his love life private until now, unlike Aaron Rodgers or Travis Kelce. However, recent sightings hint that he’s ready to let the world in on his secret.

According to TMZ, Herbert was clicked with singer/performer Madison Beer, arriving at a friend’s house in Redondo Beach, CA, on Sunday. A smiling Herbert exchanged hugs with the ‘Selfish’ singer before a comfy night with friends.

Beer, dressed in sweats, shorts, and tees, carried a bottle of wine, while Herbert brought a box of sweets to munch on while spending quaint hours away from the hustle and bustle.

The rumored couple has been spotted twice within the span of a few days. Last week, the paparazzi caught Herbert talking with Beer on the set of her latest music video.

Famed doctor cites injury concern about Justin Herbert

Opinions vary from one person to another. While gossip columns viewed Herbert’s association with Beer through the lens of love, famed doctor and physical therapist Jeff Mueller noticed something else.

Mueller gained notoriety for explaining the intricacies of injuries to various athletes. He was among the first to point out that the black sleeve, wrapped around Herbert’s right leg, may hold some ominous secrets.

“Swag or soft tissue injury?” Jeff Mueller wrote on X.

Herbert’s right leg was a constant issue in 2024. According to DraftSharks, he suffered a grade-one plantar foot during the offseason camp. He played with a high ankle sprain when the Chargers played the Pittsburgh Steelers in September. Three months later, he aggravated the ankle but managed to pull through.

If Mueller’s hypothesis is correct, then the Pro Bowler should keep his right leg wrapped up to avoid a situation similar to Deshaun Watson’s.

Herbert is still searching for his first playoff victory

The Oregon graduate is among the best pure passers in the NFL. According to Pro Football Focus, he began his career with 23 PPR points per game. He threw a touchdown on at least 5% of his passes both years and had over 7.0 yards per attempt each year.

Unfortunately, the lion’s share of Herbert’s passing numbers is from the regular season. He disappears during the playoffs.

2024 is a great example. After the Chargers finished the regular season with an 11-6 record, they set up a wild-card showdown against the Houston Texans. However, Herbert, who conceded just 3 interceptions in 17 games, conceded 4 against the Texans. The game ended 12-32.

Two years earlier, the Chargers blew a 27-0 lead against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the wild card.

Retired NFL veteran Emmanuel Acho had blasted Herbert for his poor playoff record.

When you need him the most, Justin gives you the least.

Acho said on The Facility

Despite accepting his role in the defeats, Herbert doesn’t dwell on it for too long.

If I spend any more time worrying or focusing on a loss like that, I would be doing a disservice to my teammates. Obviously, it didn’t go the way we wanted it to, like I said at the end of the year, but you gotta move on.

Herbert played a handful of snaps in the recently concluded preseason. Now, he’s prepping to face divisional rivals, the Kansas City Chiefs, in Brazil.
