Stephen Curry‘s command on the court has influenced the level of his fandom, surpassing any one particular industry. The powerhouse player is known for clinching victories wherever he goes, be it with his team or a personal goal. Only yesterday, he hit another milestone after scoring the 4000th three-pointer of his career and a star-studded crowd accumulated to witness it. One of them was K-Pop star Chenle.

The fans of K-Pop and Chenle who simultaneously know the singer’s admiration for the Golden State Warriors go far back. Furthermore, they are also aware of his vocal idolization of Stephen Curry, despite never having met him until yesterday.

As the NBA star hit a huge record in the league history, Chenle hit a victory himself with his meeting with the athlete. Post the match, the singer got the opportunity to meet his icon and get a jersey signed. In an inaudible video, the two seemed to be conversing and getting pictures clicked after Curry gave Chenle an autograph.

The moment was a huge deal for the musician who had been dreaming of this day for five years. As for his public display of admiration for the hooper and his team, he has gone out of his way and beyond. In one of his concerts, the band member dyed his hair an unusual blue.

Later, he revealed it to be a nod to his favorite team, the Golden State Warriors. The connection between the NBA and K-pop industry only seems to be growing as the days pass.

During the 2022-23 preseason, BTS star Suga got a personal invitation to watch one of the Tokyo Games between the Warriors and the Wizards. The Warriors franchise did him better by inviting him to their training ground. Predictably, he jumped on the opportunity accompanied by another band member, Mark.

The two toured the entire facility and even hooped on the court of their favourite. Additionally, they bought customized jerseys with their names, Chenle donning Number 30 and Mark grabbing Number 2. However, all that ado for nothing as they failed to meet Steph Curry.

Ironically, the NBA star was in his hometown of Shanghai for his band’s China tour. The league took note of the growing acquaintance between the two and announced latter as the brand ambassador, reaching global popularity.
