PKL: Which player has the most raid and tackle points?

The PKL 2021 is less than a week away and is creating a sense of buzz among the fans. The league has returned after a gap of two years due to the Covid-19 Pandemic.

We have witnessed several amazing performances over the years and the new season is expected to bring much more. On that note, let’s take a look at the players who have the most raid and tackle points in PKL history.

Most Raid Points: Pardeep Narwal (1160 Raid Points)

Pardeep Narwal, without a doubt, is one of the most successful raiders in PKL history.  With 1169 raid points in just 107 games, Pardeep Narwal, also known as the “Dubki King” has already etched his place in the league’s record books.

Pardeep made his debut in the second season, appearing in just six games for the Bengaluru Bulls and scoring just nine raid points. From then on, he has consistently broken record after record and has the crowning glory of being the most successful raider in the PKL.

In Season 5, Narwal was at his peak, scoring a remarkable 369 raid points and was 150 points ahead of the season’s second most successful raider. Narwal has the most points in a single season (369) and the most points in a single raid (8) as of Season 7, while also becoming the first to have multiple 300-point campaigns.

The Dubki King has completed a total of 1918 raids, with 60.47 percent of successful raids, including 53 super raids and 59 super tens, for an average raid per point match of 10.84.

Most Tackle Points: Manjeet Chhillar (339 Tackle Points)

Manjeet Chhillar is a veteran of Indian Kabaddi and has displayed his all-round skills, especially in defense. In his 108 appearances, Manjeet, regarded as a ‘powerhouse’ has 339 tackle points to his credit. Adjudged as the best defender in the inaugural season and then the Most Valuable Player in the following campaign, Manjeet Chhillar made his mark early.

Manjeet made his debut for the Bengaluru Bulls and emerged as one of the best all-rounders for the Bulls with 122 raid points and 51 tackle points.

Manjeet Chhillar was the first player in league history to top the league in tackle points twice. Chhillar is the second all-rounder in PKL history to reach 500 points. In Season 6, the all-rounder became the first player in PKL history to score 300 tackle points.

In 108 games, the Powerhouse has 15 super tackles and 23 high 5s, with an average tackle point per match of 3 and a tackle strike rate of 52.17.
