The New York Knicks’ newly acquired star Karl-Anthony Towns has been attracting a lot of attention lately. Towns recently appeared on the Club Shay Shay podcast alongside NFL legend and host Shannon Sharpe. The two discussed various topics, including his ex-teammate Anthony Edwards, Dallas Mavericks star man Kyrie Irving, and NBA legend LeBron James.
The topic that stood out most was Town’s take on the GOAT debate surrounding James, the late Kobe Bryant, and Michael Jordan. Sharpe questioned the Knicks star regarding who he thought was the best among the trio and Towns picked the Lakers legend James as ‘the best’ talent-wise.
Interestingly, Towns had earlier stated that Michael Jordan was the GOAT. But watching James clinch the historic fourth Olympic medal at the Paris Games seems to have changed the Knicks star’s mind. Nevertheless, GOAT debates are endless and always depend on one’s opinion, meaning it will always be controversial to pick one player between basketball greats.

The number of NBA titles won by Jordan is the one factor that unquestionably gives him the advantage over James. James has four titles to his name while Jordan has six along with an incredible 6-0 record in the finals. On the other hand, James has a 4-6 record in the finals.
