Jordyn Woods shows off Karl-Anthony Towns All-Star preparation

Karl-Anthony Towns has been one of the standout big men in a league currently dominated by centers. After being traded to the New York Knicks this off-season, Towns has been dominant. Moreover, he earned a nod as an All-Star starter in the Eastern Conference. His pre-game journey to the All-Star game was captured in a recent story by his girlfriend, Jordyn Woods.

Woods, the 27-year-old model and influencer, has been living the big-town life after shifting to the Big Apple with Karl-Anthony Towns. In her story, she showed off Towns and her journey while heading to San Francisco for the NBA’s All-Star weekend on a private jet. The Knicks star could be seen holding up a newspaper with him on a full-page graphic following his strong outing against the Atlanta Hawks.

The newspaper in Towns’ hand was the back page of the New York Post’s latest edition, which dubbed the Knicks win over the Hawks as ‘Winsanity’ a reference to the legendary ‘Linsanity’ performance by former NBA star Jeremy Lin. On Wednesday, KAT scored 44 points en route to an overtime victory over the Atlanta Hawks, which was the last game before the All-Star break for both teams.

Jordyn Woods and Karl-Anthony Towns have been dating since 2020, and she will be accompanying Towns to the Bay Area just days after her recent tragedy in California. Following his fourth All-Star selection and his first as a starter, Woods will certainly be present courtside watching Towns as he continues to impress in the midst of a career-best season.

Karl-Anthony Towns making dark-horse MVP case after All-Star Starter nod

While the MVP conversation has largely centered around Nikola Jokic and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Karl-Anthony Towns is quietly forcing his way into the discussion. The former Minnesota Timberwolves star has seamlessly integrated into the Knicks’ system, elevating their offense and providing a level of interior dominance that has reshaped expectations for this Knicks squad.

The Knicks, currently sitting as the No. 3 seed in a fiercely competitive Eastern Conference, have found their rhythm with Towns in the fold. His ability to stretch the floor while maintaining elite rebounding numbers has allowed New York to unlock a more dynamic offensive approach.

While KAT’s individual stats of 24.7 points, 13.4 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game may not be as eye-popping as Jokic’s near triple-double averages, they remain elite. His efficiency has also been a standout factor, with a true shooting percentage north of 64%.

The MVP race is always fluid, and timing is everything. With the Knicks continuing to climb the standings, Karl-Anthony Towns’ stock is rising at the perfect moment. He is currently ranked 3rd in the MVP race on Basketball Reference’s MVP tracker, right behind Nikola Jokic and Shai Gilgeous Alexander, and a breakthrough could perhaps elevate him right beside them in the MVP race.
