Kendrick Perkins BRUTALLY roasts Tobias Harris with ‘Chick-fil-A’ analogy after Sixers lose against Knicks
Tobias Harris will be entering free agency this summer.
Tobias Harris and Kendrick Perkins
The Philadelphia 76ers have been eliminated from the playoffs, as the Knicks took Game 6 on the road. New York managed to contain Tyrese Maxey as well as Tobias Harris, which was enough to seal the series. Not only that, but the Sixers have not seen past the second round in the last 23 years. While there were a lot of reasons for the series loss at home, one of them stood out the most.
Tobias Harris finished the game with 0 points, as he went 0-2 from the field in 29 minutes. Former NBA player, Kendrick Perkins was not happy with his performance, as he roasted the Sixer on First Take. Harris stepped up in Game 5 putting up great numbers, though couldn’t repeat the same when the lights were the brightest.
Tobias Harris, let him walk. I mean, damn. He asked them if they wanted something from Chick-fil-A before the game, the team told him yes and he came back with a bag full of napkins and straws. I mean he was just a no-show out there.said Kendrick Perkins on First Take.
The brutal roast was enough to summarize his Game 6 performance. Looking back at the series, the Sixers did have a chance at beating the Knicks, but stopping Jalen Brunson, the current best playoff performer, was a tedious task. As the Sixers look to the offseason, so will Harris.
Tobias Harris will be a free agent this offseason
In 2019, Harris signed a 5-year $180 million maximum contract extension with the Sixers. As he enters free agency, Harris has multiple options to explore. Not only NBA teams, but also overseas professional leagues are also keeping an eye on the forward. Harris averaged 17.6 points, 6.5 rebounds, and 3.1 assists while shooting over 48% from the field.
However, when it came to the postseason, Harris had been consistent in recent years, but not this time around. As he explores his options in free agency, Harris can look to continue with the Sixers but shouldn’t expect much from the contract.
It will be interesting to see where Harris ends up this postseason. The Sixers on the other hand will continue to improve their roster around Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey. Looking at their roster, the Sixers can use a reliable and consistent shooting guard. With Klay Thompson entering his free agency as well, Philly can look to add him to the roster for a dynamic trio.
