Kendrick Perkins roasted Draymond Green over wanting Paul George in Bay Area

The Golden State Warriors missed out on signing Paul George because his previous team stood in the way. George then entered free agency and joined the Philadelphia 76ers. After the deal was done, Warriors veteran Draymond Green revealed that George wanted to be part of the team, but the Clippers did not want that.

As most Warriors fans were furious at the Clippers’ choice, Kendrick Perkins had contradictory thoughts. The former NBA professional hilariously called out Draymond Green and the Warriors for not putting up a fair trade for the Clippers. On ESPN’s SportsCenter, Perkins used his quick wit to roast the Warriors for wanting George in exchange for nothing.

We all want a lot of things in life. I would like to lose a hundred pounds in a night, but I can’t. Again, it comes down to putting up the best offer out there.

Perkins stated that because the Warriors did not make a suitable offer, George is headed to Philadelphia. According to Perkins, this decision was poor, as he expressed concerns about the team’s future. Perkins was disappointed, noting that the Warriors needed to replace Klay Thompson and Chris Paul, but they can no longer do that.

Reportedly, the Warriors were willing to trade a combination of CP3, Andrew Wiggins, Jonathan Kuminga, and Moses Moody, along with some picks, in exchange for George. However, the team was unwilling to trade both Paul and Wiggins along with multiple pieces at the same time. It seems the Clippers wanted more from the Warriors, so they dismissed the deal completely.

Kendrick Perkins called out Draymond Green and Stephen Curry for letting Klay Thompson go

It seems like Perkins has had many issues with the Warriors’ plans this offseason. It was widely known that Thompson was unhappy with the Warriors’ extension offer. He also felt disrespected by the treatment he was receiving. Many believed that Thompson was wronged by the organization, and Perkins was among them.

During ESPN’s First Take, the panel was discussing whether Thompson was wronged by the team. That’s when Perkins called out the Dubs for the poor negotiations. He also took a jibe at the other part of the dynasty for not standing up for their fellow four-time champion.

And here’s my thing where’s Draymond and where’s Steph because when it comes down to Klay he felt disrespected all season long.

Perkins believed that the rest of the trio, could have done more to make the 34-year-old stay with the team. But it was later reported that Thompson himself asked Stephen Curry to not use his influence to impact the negotiations with the organization. As a result, the team has now lost an essential part of their history and their future is also at stake.
