The Golden State Warriors have been bothered ever since Stephen Curry left with tailbone injury. They could not maintain their top 8 spot in the WC. However, after his return the condition is still the same. To add to their misery, the team suffered their 2nd worst loss to Toronto Raptors earlier today. The Golden State Warriors faced a 53-point huge defeat on against the Canadian franchise, Toronto Raptors. This has been one of their most embarrassing defeats and it left Klay Thomson hurt after the game.

The Warriors went into raptors without Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. Both the players were off the bench as well. However, they team proved how much dependent they are on their superstars. Andrew Wiggins was the highest scorer for Dubs with 15-points to his name. On the other hand, it was like a dream run for Raptors. OG Anunoby and Gary Trent had 20+ points each while Pascal Siakam added 36-points. It was huge win for the team. Especially against the Golden State Warriors who have been their former rivals in the 2018 finals.

Kent Bazemore expressed how Klay Thompson was in displeasure. He said, “It’s a hard pill for them to swallow. We talk about, these guys, five straight Finals appearances. This is, by any means, not acceptable by them at all. This hurts them more than anything. Klay was fired up after the game.”

Klay has all the rights to be dissatisfied. A reputed organization with such glorious history should be working harder than these embarrassing loses. They have been on a downward spiral since 2019 season. Tonight’s loss was a huge one for the team. The critics had highlighted how the entire roster was dependent offensively on Stephen Curry. The team just proved the fact to be true.

The team missed Draymond Green and Stephen Curry which was their first cut. They just shot 32% from the field. Steph has been in his MVP caliber. Time and again he has thrived to support the Dubs clinch the playoff spot. But the performance today might just have pulled that thought down. It feels their season is over. The far-fetched fight is a long way away from Dubs reach.
